******WARNING RE BULL BARRELS ON MVT GUNS****** | THIS WILL BE AN ADDITION IN THE NEXT RUN OF MANUALS.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE BULL BARREL BE MOVED TO GET BKL MOUNTS ON, AS IN AIRWOLF. THE BOLT ON THE BKL MOUNTS USED TO SPREAD THE MOUNT SHOULD BE GREASED AND THEN SCREWED IN UNTIL ITS POSSIBLE TO SLIDE THE MOUNT ON.
THE REASONIS THAT THE WIRING INSIDE WILL DETACH FROM THE CHRONO IN THE MUZZLE OR BE STRIPPED BARE/SNAPPED OR IN ANY OTHER WAY DAMAGED.
ALSO PLEASE RESIST THE URGE TO LOOK IN THE OTHER END CONTAINING THE CHRONO. THE CHRONO IS FACTORY ALIGNED IN MANUFACTURE AND MUST NOT BE DISTURBED.
FOR THOSE PEOPLE WORRIED THAT THE BAFFLES IN THE CHRONO WILL GET DIRTY (UNHEARD OF IN FIELD TRIALS AND PROTOTYPING AND DEEMED UN NEEDED) A TIP IS TO USE A COTTON BUD TO GENTLY WIPE THE INTERNALS WITH.
are you free midland gf weekend? | this is a once only opportunity to be part of the daystate team.
the ideal person for the job must be able to have loads of fun, meet the customers and members of the doc.
the itinery for the weekend is as follows.
fri afternoon - get to weston park and help set up the stands
fri night - beer time - camping inside the marquee or the company caravan.
toilets and showers are nearby for the use of trade only.
free admittance to the game fair for both days.
there should be ample chance on both days for the doc lads to go walkabout. the factory will pay a fiver to get lunch both days.
it really is a pleasure to meet all the names off here and chat about daystates all day.
last year we unveiled the timberwolf so who knows what were unveiling this year ;)
saturday is a busy day and the gates open at around 8.30.
last year the customers were waiting outside to get into the stand!
saturday night is relax time with a few cold ones, youll be tired.
sunday is usually a little quieter than saturday and the gates are open again at 8.30.
another day representing the doc is on the cards too.
around 5 ish, the stands are loaded into the van and the weekends over.
it takes mea week to getover the event but i love it.
every year i say never again but this years the same as normal, ill be back.
are you interested in filling the 3rd position?

| this is great news for all those who ordered a mk4, heres a email i recieved from geoff hudson today.
There has been a delay in shipping the Mk4... mainly because we've found a way of getting even MORE accurate shots from a charge by making further changes to the software. The new programme took a couple of weeks longer than planned to complete testing. We're building guns right now, but every gun gets tested before shipping so it will be another three weeks before they're in the shops. We had told the shops that it would be end of April so we're about a week late.

| heres the reply i got via email from david snook, one of the men behind the electronics at daystate, along with steve harper.
i told david about me shooting the mk4 and gave him my first impressions.
Hi Tony
Some interesting facts and figures about that gun.
The production model cylinder is going to be 2 inches shorter as the standard Sport cylinder produces 1.4 shots per BAR and the operational pressure is from 250BAR to 90BAR, that is 220 shots. 190 shots with a 220BAR fill
There is no power curve as we know it over the entire pressure range.
The barrel is only 15" 3/4" compared to the standard length of 16" 3/4". This means the gun is shorter and with the cylinder being shorter too, the weight will be further into the shoulder.
The shorter cylinder should produce at least 130 shots with a 220BAR fill.
There is very little difference between efficiencies of different barrels, we are not sure why yet.
The pulse lengths are very short thanks to the new Harper valve, typically below 1500us.
The efficiency is the best that we have seen so far. The Harper valve is completely different from the old Daystate valve and is tiny.
Regards
David

| while at the factory today i had the chance to be the first person outside the factory to shoot the new m4 s.
its sat in a beautiful, italian walnut stock with a really nice grain and a neat panel of chequereing to match the pistol grip under the fore end. this chequering is highlighted by having the daystate name picked out in the chequering.
it has a pair of thumb churls to use thumbs up stylee.
rose wood grip cap to finish the grip is anice touch too.
now the action - well all i can say is try one then buy one. noticeably faster inoperation than even a mk3 cdt set up, the shot feel is akin to an fac gun, it so quick.
more to come including a full test if i can borrow one. :)
| after recent rumblings on the net about the resignation of tony belas from the company, i am happy and yet sad to announce those rumours are true.
tony belas leaves the company tomorrow, friday 28th march. he starts at air arms on monday.
i wish to take this opportunity to wish tony all the best in his new post.
im sure my sentiments are echoed by all the members of this club.
tonys post is to be filled by geoff hudson, who has been appointed as sales director as tony was.
im loking forward to working more closely with geoff and im happy to wish him a very warm welcome from us, the daystate owners club.
see photos below | |
1000th member to be vip guest at the factory | thanks to tony belas and the staff at the factory, the 1000th member on this site will be given the opportunity to visit the factory for a vip visit and the chance to shoot the newest and most talked about guns on the market.
the visit will only take around an hour to complete but the rest of the visit can be used to shoot on the outdor range.

another lucky member can also be vip for a day by sending me a pm to quualify, name to be drawn from the hat too.
